Blogging to earn money by Clint Jhonson

Since blogging really hit the Internet a few years ago, millions of people have read, commented, and even tried it themselves. For most people, it’s just a little bit of fun, not a way to work from home. They might use their blogs as a sort of private diary, to keep up with friends, or just as a way to gain regular writing practice. For a growing number of people, however, blogging has become a major source of income. For these people, blogging is a way to work at home, either to supplement their income, or even as a full time job.

For some of you, this may seem a little counter intuitive. How could anyone, no matter how good they are as a writer, make money by giving their work away for free online? It is actually not that hard, and there are a growing number of business that can help people do so. Some of these blogging businesses pay the people who work from home per post they write, or simply give them a cut of the revenue they gain. However, they are set up, nearly all of them have the same basic business model, and they are becoming increasingly successful.

For the most part, work at home bloggers are dependent on advertising revenue, earning money by showing small ads to the people who come to their site. For the best, this can be incredibly lucrative, earning up to several thousand dollars per month or more. A good blogger, one that repeatedly brings people to their site, can be very valuable, and advertisers purchase ads for each person who comes. For every ad shown, the writer who works from home earns a few cents. Because prices are so low, individual blogging may not be the best choice for the average person who wants to work at home. Large numbers of people need to visit to earn enough money for someone blogging to solely work from home.

Instead, some sites prefer to cater to more casual writers interested in work at home opportunities. These sites often pay writers per post they write, letting them do their work from home and paying them a few cents for each person who views their work. For a popular writer, on one of these sites, that can be several hundred dollars, just from doing a little writing work at home. Of course, not all work from home opportunities are lucrative, and they all require a little work. But, for someone who has some free time and would like to get paid for the chatting they do online anyway, this may be a great way to work at home and earn a little bit of extra cash.

From Home...passively Earn An Internet Income

There are countless ways to work from home and generate an income from the Internet. Some are easier and quicker to get results, but all take time to learn, practice and perfect before serious results start coming in.

There's no magic product or system that'll make you rich instantly over night, so don't spend too much time looking around for one. If you're a Beginner in the Internet Marketing arena, start with a program that requires minimum technical experience. You'll have less headaches, especially if your not computer savvy. Let's take a look at some business models that'll get you started right away.

To supplement your income, the internet business is a excellent way to do so. If you had an extra $2000 or more a month, Imagine what a help that would be to you and the ones you love. Starting my own business was a way to help me pay my bills.

As with any business there must be an upfront small investment whether it be a business based online or offline. You are sadly mistaken if you think this will be $0 for you while using all the free tools and advertising to make your business grow and be successful.

To make money online, you will understand that it is a necessity in running an internet business that you make an investment. However, every investment must be calculated and thought out long and hard. You will not go to work, and work your butt off, just to throw it all away when you get paid.

You cannot just submit your site to the search engines and expect potential visitors to show up with their wallets out ready to make a purchase. If nobody knows about your internet business or website you will not ever generate a sale.

Starting an internet business will take some time and investment to become profitable. You need to plan out every penny that you invest into your business and test to make sure that the return is greater than what you are spending. Always remember though, that investment is a necessity in running an internet business.

It doesn't matter what the nature of your work, if you prefer to work from home, there are enough opportunities available where you can make full use of your talents and get job satisfaction too. You may want to work from home for domestic, personal or health reasons, but what ever the reason there is definitely work available for you.

Think about what your work preferences are and look for home based internet opportunities in this area.

Traffic: Don't Under Estimate It's Importance

I get very frustrated with all the products that get released promising
to help you make million of Dollars but don't mention the most
important aspect of any site. How to generate traffic.

When I was starting out I spent lots of money on site building tools
and keyword tools and nothing on learning how to generate traffic. I now
know how stupid that was. The tools might have been the best in the
world but without traffic the end results were worthless.

You can have the best looking site in the world, with the perfect
keywords but if you don't know how to firstly attract the search engine
spiders and then real human visitors then the site is going to have no
value. Try selling a website and the first thing you will be asked is "What
is the Income & what's the traffic" The income is not particularly
important. If I am buying a site I actually want the income to be as low
as possible as it will be cheaper for me. Given a choice of a site with
an income of $100 a month and 1000 visitors or a site with $10 per
month and 2000 Visitors I'll always go for the visitors.

Take time to develop your own traffic delivery system and you'll have
one less thing to worry about. Take time to find out what works and what
doesn't. I created a video for my members yesterday about how to get a
site indexed and start generating traffic and I found something that
got a new site into Google in less than 18 hours.

Using that method was completely new to me and although it impressed me
it might have been a lucky one-off. I used it on another new domain
this morning and found that it only took 3 hours before my site was
referenced in Google. 3 Hours! Now that is very impressive.

I've read lots of books on traffic generation and not one of them has
mentioned this service. This is not surprising as the reason for this is
that the Internet is changing on an almost daily basis what worked
great last month doesn't work as well this month. Take Squidoo for
example, it used to be the best way to get a site indexed but not anymore.

One great method of seeing what services and sites are worth putting
your links on is by looking at Internet marketing niches. Internet
marketers have never been slow in finding the best ways of getting indexed.
Look at what sites are ranking for various search terms. If you find a
web 2.0 site or a blog site test it on your sites and see how it
performs. If it gives you results add it to your list of traffic generators.

By planning your traffic generation using the tools you discover you
can quickly start to dominate search engine listings. By careful
manipulation of your linking strategies it is often possible to grab many of
the top 10 listings.

How To Start A Home Business

Many people want to start a home business because of the the
many benefits of working for themselves at home but do not
know how to begin. You have to create a service or product
that people will want and need. Also you need to consider
the sales potential of the product or service.

What will be the initial cost to run your home business on
an ongoing basis? You will need to know your profit margin
on each sale, including expenses. This information will help
you to detemine if the chosen product or service is
feasible. You will want to chose a product that will give
you the best return for money spent.

You need to do as much research as possible when chosing a
product. Don't pick a product solely because you like it.
Choose one that you can sell because it is in high demand by
the consumers of the product. This is where your research
will help.

You can do a keyword search to find out what people are
searching for. This will let you know what words or search
phrases have the most searches and give you an idea of a
possible service or product.

There are a lot of turn-key home business sites out there
where everything is already set up for you. All you have to
do is market their products. This might be a good option in
that there is usually someone for you to question if you
need help. Your initial start up costs will not be as much
compared to going on your own.

The product quality is the number one concern along with the
company and support that you will receive. Take time and do
a thorough investigation of any company you may be
considering.

Taking the time to research products, market demand and any
companies you may be interested in becoming involved with
can be the difference between home business success and
failure. It may take you a little longer to get started by
laying a solid foundation but you will have a far greater
chance of success.

Hard work is the key to any success, and a home business is
no different. A home business requires less hard work and
maintenance once it is running, but you will benefit daily
from the hard work you put into getting it running.
